Is pregnancy acne driving you crazy? When your become impregnated, you do not expect the words pregnancy and acne to be in the same sentence; however, that is not always the case. You should expect to get pimples on normally healthy skin while pregnant. The causes for pregnancy acne are the increase of hormone progesterone and the mothers level of hydration. The levels of progesterone in a pregnant woman smooth out the muscles inside of the uterus. The downside to this increased level of progesterone is that it also secretes into your skin glands which can cause acne.

Staying well hydrated, drinking a minimum of 8 glasses of water a day is a good way to keep your skin healthy during pregnancy. If you (and your pregnant bladder!) can handle it, drink more than the 8 recommended glasses. Drinking several glasses of water a day will continuously re-hydrate the skin which will in turn soften the effects of progesterone in your skin. Drinking water will also help ease any constipation issues that you may be dealing with as well, a common occurrence during pregnancy.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for pregnancy acne. If you become pregnant and normally have soft and smooth skin free of pimples or blemishes, you may be surprised with a sudden outbreak of unsightly acne. Keeping your hands and fingers away from your face and avoiding the urge to pop, scratch or pick at your blemishes will help heal them quicker. If your pregnancy acne is more advanced, your obstetrician may be able to prescribe a low dose of acne medication. This will usually come in the form of a cream and will help to dry out the oily blemishes.

Wearing little to no make-up can also help with your pregnancy acne. If your pimples are becoming a real nuisance, try applying only eye make-up and lipstick, avoiding any heavy foundations or blushes that are normally applied on the cheeks, nose and forehead. Pregnancy alone is difficult enough for a woman to deal with. Pregnancy and acne combined can be an even more frustration and painful experience. Doing what you can to keep your face clean and drinking plenty of water will certainly help aide in your pregnancy acne prevention.

Acne is a skin condition everyone has to deal with at some point in time. Americans spend millions if not billions of dollars making every attempt to eradicate this problem. With a lot more knowledge about how to eliminate acne through vitamin supplementation, not only can it help us get rid of acne, but save tremendous money by using these natural vitamins provided by God Himself. There are two categories of vitamins:

1 – Fat soluble vitamins (synthesized or stored by the body more easily) of which includes vitamins K, A, D, & E.
2 – Water soluble vitamins (excreted from the body through the kidney) of which includes the B complex vitamins and vitamin C. Note: Over dosages or excessive fat soluble vitamins stored in the body can become toxic to the body because it is not excreted.

Water soluble vitamins (B & C) are excellent for skin conditions and appearances such as: eliminating wrinkles, decreasing the size of pores, increasing or improving the elasticity of the skin by building up collagen, preventing sun burns, liver spots, eczema, skin ulcers, angular stomatosis (cracks in the corner of the mouth), dermatitis of the vulva or scrotum, rosacea, boils, bed sores, psoriasis, improving stretch marks and skin pigmentation of people suffering from vitiligo (the skin condition Michael Jackson suffered from that cause drastic skin discoloration) and some types of acne. These different skin conditions respond positively to water soluble vitamins because these vitamins’ peek absorption occurs in one hour or less after ingestion and it excreted from the body in about 4 hours. Taking these vitamins in four evenly spaced dosages throughout the day allows the body to excrete the toxin consistently. Getting rid of these toxins consistently in this manner allows for quicker skin healing and a better chance of reversing the aging process.

Fat soluble vitamins (KADE) are also useful in alleviating the different skin conditions mentioned above as well. These vitamins are stored in the body allowing them the ability to get rid of free radicals and toxins due to their powerful antioxidant properties. In addition to their antioxidant properties, these vitamins also have antibacterial affects that promote immunity.

When it comes to acne, the top antioxidant vitamins best used to fight acne are vitamins: A, B, C & E. These vitamins can be ingested as well as applied topically as a cream. They will stimulate cell growth of the Dermis (the layer of skin below the epidermis that houses nerve endings, hair follicles, different types of glands, blood vessels and lymphatic) and concentrate in the epidermis (the outer layer of skin you see when you look at another person) to increase the number of skin cell receptors for epidermal growth factor (EGF). The antioxidant properties in these vitamins not only protect the stability of the cell membranes from oxidation, but they also get rid of the cells that have already been oxidized call free radicals. When these antioxidant vitamins are at work, the immune system is much stronger and able to fight bacteria that cause acne flare ups. Here are the elements that must exist to create acne: bacteria, inflammation of the pores & follicles, and excessive sebum (Oils produced by the sebaceous glands that sometimes opens to a hair follicle and found on the surface of the skin. Although this oil protects the skin from bacterial infection and reduces the natural water loss from the body through the skin, it also collects sweat and environmental dirt that can cause bacteria, inflammation and body odor when not cleaned properly.)

Another way these super acne fighting vitamins defeat acne is by improving digestion and metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates. The contribution of the B complex vitamins is mostly responsible for the efficient absorption of these compounds to produce healthy skin.

Using these vitamins to combat acne is a wise decision that allows the body to heal itself as God intended. When using this method to fight acne, consulting an alternative health certified consultant for guidance is always advised.

(from a former acne acne alternative treatments)

After enduring years of frustration trying one acne treatment, product, or doctor after another I eventually gave up on convention acne treatments and looked toward acne alternative treatments.

I sensed that the only lasting cure to my problem wasn’t going to be found in an anti-biotic, drug, or a topical acne cream.

I believe there must be a root cause of acne and there must be a way to fix that cause naturally.

I turned my attention and resources toward investigation more natural acne treatments. For years I tested every homeopathic, herbal, diets for acne, internal cleansing programs… and much, much more.

Over and over here is what happened… Either the treatment did nothing, (sometimes things got worse), or the results I did get didn’t last.

The dreaded acne always seemed to raise its ugly head yet again!

Why?

Why was this so? The pivotal moment happened when I discovered what the true cause of acne. Knowing that gave me the key insights into what cure would be.

I could now see why the herbs only worked short term. And why some vitamins for acne helped but didn’t seem to fix the problem.

In the very best of conditions these alternative acne therapies were only confronting a part of the cause of acne, they were not globally correcting the problem. So the results didn’t last.

It was only after I had all the pieces to the “acne puzzle” that I could in a systematic way correct each aspect that was causing my acne. Getting all the pieces to the acne puzzle was critical.

So don’t waste your time running around trying this or that. Instead first take the time to understand exactly what’s really causing your acne.

With that understanding it will be easy for you to know in advance if that acne alternative treatment you’re thinking about trying will work synergistically correcting the root cause of your acne.

Don’t waste your time with any treatment that does not directly address at least some critical aspect that’s causing your acne.

Don’t make the mistake of trying one acne treatment after another. Instead use them in a systematic fashion in a calculated plan that corrects the root cause of your acne. (Luckily this has already been planned out for you). That’s the key to lasting results.
