(from a former acne acne alternative treatments)

After enduring years of frustration trying one acne treatment, product, or doctor after another I eventually gave up on convention acne treatments and looked toward acne alternative treatments.

I sensed that the only lasting cure to my problem wasn’t going to be found in an anti-biotic, drug, or a topical acne cream.

I believe there must be a root cause of acne and there must be a way to fix that cause naturally.

I turned my attention and resources toward investigation more natural acne treatments. For years I tested every homeopathic, herbal, diets for acne, internal cleansing programs… and much, much more.

Over and over here is what happened… Either the treatment did nothing, (sometimes things got worse), or the results I did get didn’t last.

The dreaded acne always seemed to raise its ugly head yet again!

Why?

Why was this so? The pivotal moment happened when I discovered what the true cause of acne. Knowing that gave me the key insights into what cure would be.

I could now see why the herbs only worked short term. And why some vitamins for acne helped but didn’t seem to fix the problem.

In the very best of conditions these alternative acne therapies were only confronting a part of the cause of acne, they were not globally correcting the problem. So the results didn’t last.

It was only after I had all the pieces to the “acne puzzle” that I could in a systematic way correct each aspect that was causing my acne. Getting all the pieces to the acne puzzle was critical.

So don’t waste your time running around trying this or that. Instead first take the time to understand exactly what’s really causing your acne.

With that understanding it will be easy for you to know in advance if that acne alternative treatment you’re thinking about trying will work synergistically correcting the root cause of your acne.

Don’t waste your time with any treatment that does not directly address at least some critical aspect that’s causing your acne.

Don’t make the mistake of trying one acne treatment after another. Instead use them in a systematic fashion in a calculated plan that corrects the root cause of your acne. (Luckily this has already been planned out for you). That’s the key to lasting results.

You are not alone in your quest to end acne once and for all. The causes of acne and pimples are a primary concern for many people. Ever wonder why out of the billions of people on earth, you have to have acne? Tired of people wondering, What happened to your face? Do you wash your face – maybe you need to use a stronger scrub…

Those thoughts and comments are insulting. You’re already doing everything you can to fight that stubborn acne! By knowing the causes of acne and pimples, you can kick it to the curb.

Some common causes of acne and pimples include the following:

Clogged pores. Do you exfoliate regularly? Dead skin cells (top layer of skin) don’t shed as they should and excessive oil production ends up causing additional buildup. Clogged pores is one of the leading causes of acne and pimples, so be sure to exfoliate daily.

Dirt isn’t one of the causes acne and pimples, so washing your face more won’t help! You will actually trigger more oil production because each time you wash, you’re stripping away the skin’s essential oils.

Bacteria is one of the harmful causes of acne and pimples. Is your skin inflamed and red?
When you have clogged pores, oxygen can’t get to the root of the follicle, resulting in bacteria growth underneath the skin. Pus may develop as your body tries to fight off the bacteria.

Cosmetics and products are also contributing causes of acne and pimples. The main thing you have to watch out for are ingredients. Waxes and oils can clog pores or irritate follicles and thick creams are just too heavy for oily skin. Moisturizers, sunscreens, and cleansers should all be water-based. Get a foundation or powder that is noncomedogenic (won’t clog pores). Some hair products may trigger acne as well.

Acne will range anywhere from mild breakouts to disfiguring cysts and scarring. Other causes of acne and pimples that I did not include are: hereditary, overactive oil glands, hormones, vitamin deficiency, and many more. You don’t have to live with acne. It can be a challenging problem to deal with, but knowing the causes of acne and pimples puts you steps ahead in choosing the appropriate treatment.

There are several things you can do to combat acne.

Visit a smart, well-read, well-trained esthetician – but be careful whom you choose to see because acne is a very specialized skin disorder and if your esthetician is not confident in the causes of acne and pimples, seeing her may actually aggravate your skin.

See your dermatologist if your acne is severe or if you are experiencing cysts (you’ll know you have cysts when you feel them and they feel stubborn underneath the skin).
